Hey what’s summer without water games…boring! So, this week we will enjoy lots of water activities. We will have outside water games, obstacles, and even a good old balloon fight. We just might use water in our art projects. We will take a trip to Signal Hill Bay at the end of the week. Remember not to forget your bathing suit, towel and sunscreen.

Health/Fitness and Sports Week     7/21-7/25

We will enjoy indoor and outdoor exercises daily, but this week we will discuss fitness as a part of healthy living. We will also learn about the food groups and make a food pyramid of our own. We’ll have a fun filled day at the Potomac National’s Baseball Game mid-week and at the end of the week we will visit Stonewall Park and Pool.
Field Trips 7/23 and 7/25.

Science and History Week              7/28 - 8/1

Ready to become a Mad Scientist or a Historian? Well, come and join us as we explore, experiment and learn. We will discuss static electricity, gravity, germs, chemistry, and many other scientific topics. We will submerge ourselves in experiments and research. Learn a little bit of what is around us. You’ll be surprised how much history Manassas has.  At the middle of the week we will go to Freedom Museum and at the end of the week, we will go camping for the day.
Field Trips 7/30 and 8/1.

Lil Chef Week                                   8/4 – 8/8

Get your apron and chefs hat; we are going to do some cooking.  We will make different foods throughout the week as well as discuss the importance of hygiene and food.  Discover the cook that is in you and have fun making many delicious wonders. We will take an etiquette class and we will visit a restaurant at the end of the week.
Field Trip 8/8.

Performing Arts Week                    8/11 – 8/15

Love to dance, act, paint, create, and express yourself through art. This week will expose students to a little bit of everything with the arts. From dance routines to origami workshops, its all to have fun. Mid-week we will go to Freedom Center and at the end of the week we will visit an art gallery.
Field Trip 8/13 and 8/15.

Calvary Kids @ Play Week             8/18 – 8/22

This week we culminate our Summer Camp experience for 2008.  We will display our own gallery, have a science fair, work on scrapbooks and finish any summer long projects we had been working on.  This week will be about having fun and making the memories last a life time. It was great to have you Calvary Campers; God bless you and see you next year.
